I recently tracked him down but he still doesn’t want to accept me as his son
I’m a 17-year-old boy and I live with my mother. My father abandoned my mom while she was pregnant.
It’s understandable that as a boy you would want a father figure in your life.
But your father is unwilling to play that role and has made it clear he doesn’t want you in his life.
No matter how confusing this is, he might have his reasons, and that’s between him and your mother. Ask another member of the family to accompany you and talk to your father.
If he’s still not interested, no matter how hard and disheartening it is, I suggest you try to carry on with your life.You have managed without him so far.
