Johannesburg – Nearly two tons of male sexual enhancement tablets worth R20.6m have been seized at OR Tambo International Airport, SARS said on Monday.
Customs officials intercepted a shipment at the transit sheds containing 80 000 tablets and 126 000 “oral jellies” wrapped in brown sacks on Sunday, spokesperson Sandile Memela said in a statement.
The shipment came from Bombay, India, and was destined for Swaziland.
“The tablets were restricted, controlled substances and must have permits when being imported.”
