A residential complex in Sunninghill, Johannesburg, caught fire on Thursday.
Nana Radebe, spokesperson for City of Johannesburg emergency services, told News24 that a structural fire call had been received at 09:35 on Thursday.
"Sandton Fire Station was the first to respond to the two flats that caught fire," Radebe said in a text message.
According to Radebe, three fire trucks were on the scene and there were no injuries or fatalities.
"Preliminary investigations [will] be conducted after firefighting is done. The fire is under control," Radebe said.
Radebe said between 12 and 15 flats were affected.
Twitter user Chris de Beer tweeted a video of flames and smoke bellowing from the complex.
