Durban – Two of the six men accused of the Ngcobo police killings appeared at the Umzimkhulu Magistrate's Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday, for the murders of a church leader and his wife.
The two men - both aged 30 – are to remain in custody until March 13, when they are expected to apply for bail, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said.
They allegedly shot Ndumiso Jali and his wife last month, two weeks before they allegedly shot five police officers and a soldier in Ngcobo in the Eastern Cape.

The Jalis were members and leaders of the notorious Seven Angels Ministry, which has been linked to the Ngcobo police killings, according to media reports.
Meanwhile, Captain Anelisa Feni told News24 that another two men were arrested at the church, led by the Mancoba brothers, at the weekend.
They were arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery charges which relate to an incident that took place in December last year.

"Two suspects aged 29 and 30 appeared before the Ngcobo District Court on Monday for a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery with aggravating circumstances," Feni said.
Seven suspects believed to have been involved in the Ngcobo police massacre were shot dead in a shootout with police on February 23, after being cornered inside the church.
All four accused were members of the Seven Angels Ministry.
