Three people have died in two separate accidents in the Western Cape, the province’s traffic department said on Saturday.
In the first incident in Paternoster just after noon, “the driver of a Ford Ranger lost control [of] his vehicle and [it] overturned,” said Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa.
The driver and a female passenger both died in the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
Meanwhile on Saturday night, the driver of a Volkswagen Polo collided with a pedestrian – who subsequently died.
The accident took place on the N2 between Gouritzmond and Cooper.
