A student at the University of the Free State's (UFS) Qwaqwa campus was allegedly assaulted and raped at an off-campus student house over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said the incident happened in De Bult, Phuthaditjhaba, at midnight on Sunday.
"The student was with a younger girl at the house. Two men gained access through a window and before they left both men raped her," Mophiring said. A laptop and two cellphones were also taken from the house.
Mophiring said no arrests had been made.

University spokesperson Lacea Loader said the student had received support from management and staff from the Qwaqwa campus. She was also receiving counselling.
"The executive management has a zero tolerance for incidents of this nature and it is regrettable that it happened during Women's Month when UFS is specifically focusing on various aspects to bring the importance and value of women in society to the forefront," Loader said.
Loader said management would continue with messages and actions of awareness, visible safety interventions, ensuring the reporting of such incidents and the speedy conclusion of investigations with the relevant sanctions.
In a separate incident over the weekend, a student was allegedly stabbed at a men's residence on the Bloemfontein campus during an altercation.
He was in a stable condition in hospital.
Loader said the incident was under investigation and further details were not immediately available.
