A fine to warm day is predicted for the northern provinces, but on the coast it is expected to be cool to cold and cloudy.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the extreme north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, central parts of the Free State and the western parts of the North West province.
Rain and snow
Light rain is expected along the southern coastal areas and adjacent interior of the Northern Cape. Along the south coast and adjacent interior of the Western Cape, isolated showers are expected, clearing in the west late afternoon. There will be light snowfalls on the Southern Cape mountain peaks. Scattered showers are expected along the coast of the Eastern Cape, spreading to the adjacent interior in the evening.
Temperatures
Gauteng, Limpopo and the North West will be fine and warm and the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga cool to warm. The Northern, Western and Eastern Cape will be cool to cold.
Pretoria can expect temperatures ranging from 11°C to 27°C, while Johannesburg can expect 8°C to 25°C and Bloemfontein 5°C to 25°C.
Cape Town is a chilly 11°C to 14°C and Port Elizabeth 10°C to 16°C, while Durban will be pleasant at 15°C to 25°C.
