Western Cape police are investigating a robbery on a Chapman's Peak hiking trail in Cape Town after a woman was stabbed and mugged on Friday morning.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said the 65-year-old woman was on the East Fort hiking trail when she was attacked.
"The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment. Police are following up on leads [and there have been] no arrests so far."
Earlier this year, a man was stabbed to death while hiking with his wife near Boyes Drive in St James. The 56-year-old man was accosted just after 11:00 in Echo Valley.
Weeks before that, nine hikers were robbed and stabbed in the same area, by two men who appeared to be hikers.
The men had joined the group and hiked with them for about 30 minutes before attacking them.
