Your weather: A sunny Saturday in store for SA

Fine and warm temperatures are expected to kickstart the weekend on Saturday, with the Cape Metropole set for cool weather.

The South African Weather Service issued a warning of extremely high fire danger conditions for the central parts of the Northern Cape, the north-eastern parts of the Western Cape and the northern interior of the Eastern Cape.

The weather in your region

Gauteng will be fine and warm. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

It will be fine and warm but hot in places in the Lowveld of Mpumalanga.

It will be fine and warm in Limpopo and the North West.

The Free State will be fine and cool to warm.

The Northern Cape will be fine and warm to hot. It will become cloudy and with fog patches along the coast from the evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly.

It will be fine and warm to hot but partly cloudy and cool in the south-west in the Western Cape at first. It will become cloudy along the south coast by the evening. The wind along the coast will be light north to north-westerly becoming moderate to fresh, but moderate south-westerly along the west coast. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate.

There will be morning fog patches over the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm but hot in places in the east. The wind along the coast will be gentle south-westerly south of Richards Bay, otherwise moderate north-easterly spreading to the south by late morning and freshening in the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
