In February 1994 Nelson Mandela returned to the grounds of Victor Verster Prison to light a 'Freedom Flame' - signifying the end of Apartheid and his run for presidency.
The very torch he used was originally given to a South African as a gesture of goodwill. It will soon be auctioned in Boston in the US by RR Auction. Bidding starts at just over half a million rand. Watch the video to find out how the torch ended up in Boston.
