News24 studied the scene of the crash that claimed the life of Bosasa chief executive Gavin Watson in the early hours of Monday.
The accident occurred on the short stretch of Jones Road leading to the parking and drop off zone at OR Tambo International Airport.
Watson was the only occupant of the vehicle, a Bosasa owned Toyota Corolla.
His BMW X5 had broken down and was in need of repairs, Bosasa spokesperson Papa Leshabane said earlier on Monday.
News24 found debris from the crash still scattered along the side of the road, and no evidence could be seen that Watson applied the brakes or attempted to avoid the collision with a concrete bridge pillar.
