Plane carrying Ebola patient arrives in US

Washington - A plane carrying a US aid worker infected with the deadly Ebola virus arrived at an air force base in Georgia on Saturday, local television network WSB TV reported.

The private jet carrying doctor Kent Brantly landed at Dobbins Air Reserve Base outside Atlanta, Georgia shortly before 11:50 local time, WSB reported.

Footage of the arrival filmed from long-distance showed the jet pulling up at an aircraft hangar where it was met by what appeared to be an ambulance and several vehicles.

The convoy of vehicles then appeared to pull away from the aircraft. Brantly is due to be transferred to an isolation unit at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
