A two-year-old boy, who dangled from a second-floor balcony before suddenly plunging to the ground, was caught by a heroic passerby.
The horrific incident in Sanliurfa, Turkey, was filmed by onlookers who posted the footage online.
According to local media, the toddler was home alone when he ventured onto the balcony and climbed over the rails.
The tot got into trouble and dangled from the rails for some time before apparently growing tired and plummeting to the ground.
A large group of people had gathered on the street under the balcony in an attempt to catch the child.
Residents reportedly even tried breaking into the apartment after realising that no one was home but were unable to get past the locked front door.
As the youngster fell, he struck the first-floor balcony but was then flung away from the building.
The crowd below managed to react quickly and an unidentified man managed to catch the boy.
The child, who suffered a hip injury, was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital where he’s in a stable condition.
Local police have confirmed the incident is being investigated
