A beach in Corralejo, a town on the island of Fuerteventura – one of Spain's Canary Islands off the coast of Morocco – is a perfect example of how Mother Nature is sometimes a real show-off.
Instead of sandy shores, this bay has a coastline that looks like it's paved with popcorn – and you'd be forgiven for wanting to munch on a handful!
According to Metro.co.uk, the beach, aptly called Popcorn Beach or Popcorn Bay, comprises pieces of white coral that have washed ashore.
The coral mixes with volcanic ash and sand along the coastline and is shaped by the sea and friction, which gives it a popcorn-like shape.
The coral differs in size – while some look exactly like the crunchie snack, others are huge, The New York Post adds.
As expected the beach is a hit on Instagram, with many users sharing snaps of themselves throwing handfuls in the air or biting on it.
