It’s something that’s likely to have happened to all of us at some point.
You return to the parking lot after a three-hour shopping spree at the local mall. While your hands are filled with bags full of your glorious buys, there’s only one question on your lips: “Where the heck did I park my car?”
A German man was left asking himself exactly that – for two decades.
But the man (now 76) has been reunited with his old vehicle after the car was found parked exactly where it had been left.
Found resting in the garage of an abandoned building due for demolition, the car was on its way to be flattened when it was first reported to police, German newspaper, Augsberger Allgemein, reports.
After authorities investigated who the owner was, they tracked down the German man, who was driven by police, along with his daughter, to be reunited with his car.
“The car can no longer be driven and will be sent to the scrap heap,” authorities in Frankfurt said.
Reasons behind why exactly the man forgot where he had parked his car are unknown.
