WATCH: 20 gigantic blocks of ice comes to life

Some 20 sculptures from around the world are gathered in the French Alps for the 28th Valloire Ice Sculpture Contest.

A sculptor from Denmark says that up to ice is specifically made for the contest.

Around 18 tonnes of transparent ice is ordered for the contest.
