It’s a video that’s sure to tug the heartstrings and release the waterworks.
Daniel and Paige Zezulka, from Georgia in America, captured the moment they told a little girl they were going to adopt her, along with her younger brother and sister.
Paige shared the video, which has had more than four million views, on her Facebook page on Friday, The Metro reports.
The couple learnt they were approved for adoption on the little girl’s birthday, so the next day they decided to surprise her with the good news.
In the minute-long clip the girl is seen opening a boxed birthday gift.
“I want you to read it,” Daniel urges her.
The girl picks up an object that resembles a frame and reads, “I’m going to be adopted.”
She’s instantly overcome by emotion as her proud new parents embrace her.
“She’d been praying to be adopted and we found out on her birthday that it was going to happen,” Paige wrote in the caption of the video.
“So the next day we gave her this surprise box! God’s timing was perfect!”
Paige said their three new kids had spent 1 128 days in foster care over a period of three years. “It’s so hard on children to live in such uncertainty.”
