Just when you thought the excitement of the local awards season was over!
M-Net’s Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) has partnered with DStv to launch a brand new awards show, one in which South African television audiences will determine the winners in 10 categories.
The DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards (DStvMVCA) will be screened live on Mzansi Magic on 26 August this year and will be hosted by the lovely Bonang Matheba.
The show will also include a special recognition award to pay tribute to those individuals whose outstanding contributions have directly influenced the local entertainment scene.
But the awards are not just about the nominees, but the viewers too! Those who vote stand the chance to win a brand-new Kia Picanto 1.0 Street, valued at R 150 000.
In addition, prizes on the night will include the socially influential 1Life Life Changer Award, which recognises the efforts of a dedicated community leader making a positive impact in their environment. That leader will receive R 50 000, while the person who nominated them will also be the recipient of a second R 50 000 cash bonus.
