In light of the latest report of the state capture commission of inquiry this week, Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan must have finally realised his longstanding desire to make South Africans “connect the dots” so they could understand the extent of the Gupta family’s state capture.

The second series of the three-part report, published on Tuesday, partly relates to the collapse of state-owned freight transport entity Transnet.
