In a move to address the significant problems plaguing the South African freight logistics industry, the Cabinet has approved a comprehensive roadmap for publication.

This plan, according to minister in the presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, outlines not only immediate actions to stabilise the system, but also long-term reforms aimed at boosting efficiency and competitiveness.

During a Monday post-Cabinet media briefing, Ntshavheni said that the industry's present problems “pose a significant constraint” on the development potential and employment creation of the South African economy.
