In a personal statement sent to City Press yesterday – and drafted with the assistance of her lawyers on legal issues – Ace Magashule’s former personal assistant Moroadi Cholota described how she was harassed by the FBI and Hawks during an interrogation in Washington, DC, in the US, because she would not implicate her former boss and suspended ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule.
Her lawyers said this week that they were puzzled by the state’s “confrontational” tactics towards Cholota after she refused to implicate Magashule in wrongdoing, tactics which include a warrant of arrest issued this week and steps to extradite her from the US.
