Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) says operations at the Durban Port have stabilised after it removed more than 30 000 containers from vessels at its Durban Container Terminal at Pier 2.
Freight organisations say the backlog has become "manageable" for cargo owners. However, concerns have been raised concerns about port congestion and productivity levels that remain below "acceptable standards" according to cargo owners.
