During a promotional event for Dune: Part Two on Sunday, an audience member threw an object that hit actor Florence Pugh in the face.
Pugh was standing in front of the Comic Con Brazil crowd with other members of the Dune cast when a small item squarely hit her in the eye. The rest of the Dune cast were shocked at the incident, with only Zendaya and Denis Villeneuve not noticing at first.
Earlier in the event, she described her experience working on the film, "I had an amazing time coming in and just hanging around with these people, let alone actually getting to work with them," she said.
"Coming in here - the power in this room - is because of that first movie, and we felt that when we went on set every single day. So it feels really, really special being here with the second one," she added.

Dune is set for release in March 2024.
Pugh is one of the latest celebrities to be a victim of being thrown with an object.
In June, a concertgoer threw a phone at American pop star Bebe Rexha, which inflicted a minor injury to her eye.

Harry Styles had multiple objects thrown at him, such as Skittles and roses (both hitting his eye).
During the opening night of Drake's It's All a Blur tour in Chicago, the musician was hit with a cellphone that made contact with his hand. He dodged an Air Jordan on a separate occasion.
Fans had also thrown sex toys on stage during a Lil Nas X performance in July, prompting the artist to pause the show.
Adele spoke out about the dangerous trend during a concert in Las Vegas:
Adele then jokingly told the audience: "I f***ing dare you. I dare you to throw something at me; I'll f***ing kill you."

Music industry professionals, such as Harvey Mason Jr., the president and CEO of The Recording Academy, also expressed concern over the trend.
He told The Hollywood Reporter that the trend is "disappointing".
"To see somebody angry enough to try and harm someone performing and putting their heart and their talent out on display is sad, and it's a little disturbing. I hope that it doesn't continue to be a trend," he said.
Reasons why fans throw objects at celebrities have been attributed to a lack of etiquette, attention-seeking and outright maliciousness.
