The sentencing of author Jackie Phamotse has been delayed further after the court-appointed social worker reportedly arrived at the Randburg Magistrate's court late on Tuesday. 

According to a source close to the plaintiffs, the court was set to hear the social worker, Xoliswa Budaza's report and Basetsana Kumalo's victim impact statement before deciding on the severity of Phamoste's sentence.

Budaza's late arrival left no time for Kumalo to take to the stand, and she will now speak on 5 March.
