Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at an ice hockey game in Canada. The couple visited the Vancouver Canucks versus the San Jose Sharks game on Monday night, where Harry dropped the ceremonial puck to start the match.
The pair also stayed to watch the rest of the game.
21 years ago, Prince Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth made the same appearance at a Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks game. Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky even handed the puck to her for the ceremonial drop.
Queen Elizabeth, who died last year, made her visit during an 11-day tour of Canada in honour of her Golden Jubilee.
Prince Harry's appearance comes ahead of the next Invictus Games in 2025, taking place in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada.
The Invictus Games are an international sports competition founded by Prince Harry in 2014 for "wounded, injured and sick armed forces personnel, serving or veterans", according to the event's website.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex initially went public with their relationship in 2017, at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
