Cooking for the likes of former American president Barack Obama and international heavyweights such as Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z are not feats that just anybody can brag about. Unless you are Johannesburg-born chef Katlego Mlambo, who was announced as the newest addition to the judging panel of MasterChef South Africa season five.
Mlambo joins Justine Drake, who boasts more than 30 years of experience in the food and media industry, and culinary queen Zola Nene to make up the show's "perfect" judging trio when the show returns to S 3 (formerly SABC 3) in mid-June.
"I'm still pinching myself, honestly, because this is something I really, really wanted. It's such an amazing cooking show," he told News24's Keitumetse Maako in an interview.
