The iconic gospel artist Jabu Hlongwane is set to get the power of praise and worship reverberating throughout the Pacofs theatre in Bloemfontein by means of a performance on Saturday, 4 May.

The one-day event is the multi-award winning gospel singer’s initiative called “Crosspower Experience”, through which he pursues the essence and relevancy of gospel music in spiritual upliftment.

The gospel show in the Free State capital is organised in collaborations with Pacofs and Crosspower Media.

Hlongwane is renowned for revolutionising gospel music through live-recorded performances and outstanding studio recordings, as well as overall production quality. His ability extends to working with various gospel artists and influencing the success of South Africa’s gospel group, the Joyous Celebration.

Those attending the show can look forward to an inspiring performance. Offerings will include Hlongwane’s hit songs such as “Vus’owakho”, “Uzuliphathe Kahle”, “Ntate Nthuse”, and “Sihlezi Kahle” from his latest release.

Adding to the excitement, the event will feature a groundbreaking segment known as the Gospel Music Spotlight.

This segment will spotlight the top eight shortlisted singers residing in the Free State, who auditioned to feature in this performance in Bloemfontein on 10 and 11 April.

Hlongwane expressed his admiration for the remarkable talent from the province. The Gospel Music Spotlight is a platform for untapped talented backing vocalists to showcase their talent.

The show is set to start at 18:00. Tickets are selling at R200 and are available at Webtickets and Pick n Pay. Group booking options are also available at discounted rates. For more details and the gateway to purchase tickets, visit webtickets.co.za.
