The various Free State government departments and entities have footprints at the Bloem Show, which continues until Saturday, 4 May, in Bloemfontein. Staged under the theme “Around the World”, the show officially commenced on Thursday, 25 April.
According to Premier Moxolisi Dukwna, the presence of all departments at the Bloem Show is a testament to the dedication to fostering nation-building and social cohesion, guided by the principles of Batho Pele. He said for the duration of the event information was being distributed of services rendered to the public.
“It offers a unique opportunity for the province to showcase its commitment to taking government services closer to the people, in line with the Batho Pele principles. This initiative embodies our commitment to leaving no one behind and ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to thrive.
Dukwana called on everyone to attend the event to experience the diverse offerings of the province and learn more about the government programmes and initiatives.
The successful staging of the Bloem Show translates to economic spin-offs, reportedly worth a R50 million injection for the hosting city. This is generated through visitors and various established brand companies, as well as exhibitors during the ten days.
Admission fees are R100 for adults; R50 for senior citizens (60 years and older), card-carrying students, and children older than six years.
