Bridge Camp SAPS has initiated a manhunt following an attempted murder and robbery at Gwatyu Farm near Cofimvaba. The incident occurred on April 21, during which four armed men demanded money from a 74-year-old man while he was tending to his stock.

Police spokesperson, Captain Namhla Mdleleni said it is alleged on April 21 at approximately 19:00 a 74-year-old man was busy collecting his stock when four armed men entered his yard demanding money from him.

"They entered his house and took a flat screen television, and on their way out, they shot him on his leg," said Mdleleni.

Mdleleni said they quickly fled the scene using a silver-grey Suzuki vehicle.

"The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment."

Police were called to the scene, and a case of attempted murder as well as robbery were opened for further investigation.
