Fifth Matsa 100 Miler conquered

The fifth edition of the Matsa 100 Miler challenged cyclers over a distance of 164 km from Kimberley to Bloemfontein, leading them to district roads and a few hills of the Northern Cape and Free State.

After conquering the challenging ride which tested the participants’ endurance, the overall winners and runners-up are:

Men: first: Dusty Day (05:02:55), second: Jaco van Dyk (05:02:55), and third: Jean Fourie (05:02:55).

Women: first: Tanya Roos (05:58:02), second: Adele van der Walt (07:16:46), and third: Tinkie Geldenhuys (07:38:12).

In the men’s category:

Gravel bike: first, second and third: Day, Van Dyk, and Fourie;

Mountain bike: first: Johan Griessel (05:57:56), second: Coenraad Steenkamp (06:03:21), and third: JP le Roux (06:14:30).

In the women’s category:

Gravel bike: first: Tinkie Geldenhuys (07:38:12), second: Megan de Lange (07:45:34), and third: Ronel van Straaten (07:45:34); and

Mountain bike: first: Roos; second: Van Der Walt; and third: Irma Schlebusch (08:42:22).

E-bike category: first: Piet Nieuwenhuizen (04:45:20) second, Francois Koekemoer (06:36:40), and third: Hendrik Kemp (06:36:40);

Relay category: winners: Corns Special (06:19:50);

Team relay: first: Toyota Cruisers (06:58:01), second: Toyota Legends (06:58:10), and third: Vasbyters (07:05:32).
