Alleged wife murderer, Arnold Terblanche, will only hear his fate in the new year after the judgement on his bail application was scheduled for January 2023.
This means that the 54-year-old will spend his second Christmas behind bars.
Terblanche, who is accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of his wife, Vicki Terblanche, has applied for bail more than once and after being denied bail a second time, took to the Gqeberha High Court to appeal the decision.
The High Court determined that the new bail application indeed contains new facts as Terblanche's legal team had claimed and ordered the Gqeberha Magistrate's Court to reassess the application.
Lengthy arguments were given by both the state and Terblanche's legal team up until early this week.
Magistrate Kriban Pillay will deliver judgement on the latest bail application on January 19 next year.
Meanwhile, Terblanche and his co-accused, Vicki's boyfriend at the time of her death, Reinhardt Leach and a friend, Dylan Cullis, will appear in the Magistrate's Court together tomorrow.
They face several charges, ranging from murder to conspiracy to commit murder after Vicki's body was found in a shallow grave in Greenbushes in October last year.
