Police are on an accident scene at the intersection of Omuramba and Bosmanadam roads in Montague Gardens following an alleged shooting incident earlier today, Wednesday, 4 October.
According to eyewitnesses on the scene, two motorbike riders allegedly shot at a moving vehicle, which resulted in an accident. Several cars were damaged in the process.
When TygerBurger contacted the Milnerton police spokesperson, Capt. Nopaya Madyibi, she said the cause of the alleged shooting and accident is still unknown.
“I will have more information later today,” she added.
Currently, the police, City of Cape Town traffic and fire services, and emergency medical services (EMS) are on the scene investigating the cause and assisting the injured.The number of fatalities and injuries remains unclear.“It’s best to avoid the area for now and use alternative routes,” advises Madyibi.
Several cars were damaged during the accident.
