President Cyril Ramaphosa is facing significant questions over the events leading up to the burglary at his Phala Phala farm in February 2020, during which millions of rands in foreign currency were stolen.
While the money stolen from Ramaphosa was not public money and was what the president has called the proceeds from the sale of game, which his farm has done regularly over many years, the nature of the money, being at least $580 000, leaves many questions unanswered.
Ramaphosa remains the sole director of Ntaba Nyoni Estates, the company through which Phala Phala in Limpopo and his other farm, Ntaba Nyoni in Mpumalanga, is managed.
