The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements paid a company, which donated to the ANC and has links to Deputy President Paul Mashatile, R134 million for a housing project conceived in 2013 - but not a single house has been built.
The department's internal financial records, obtained by News24, show that between May 2014 and November 2017, it paid flamboyant businessman Edwin Sodi's company, Blackhead Consulting, R134 million for work it allegedly did on a multibillion-rand housing project in Diepsloot East.
In September 2020, Sodi told the State Capture Commission he had donated money to the ANC "from time to time".
