What we heard: Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Ronald Lamola says it is "dangerous" for anyone to disobey the Zondo commission of inquiry into state capture, adding it was "un-ANC" not to cooperate with the commission.

How we know: During an interview with News24, Lamola said the ANC national executive committee (NEC) should have a discussion about the repercussions for those who disobeyed the commission and the country's courts.

Exceptional circumstances: He said it "never occurred in our minds" that there would be any member in society - much less in the ANC itself - who would defy the commission and the courts.
