Former president Thabo Mbeki has strongly criticised several deliberate moves by the ANC to thwart attempts by Parliament to deal with the Phala Phala farm scandal.

Ebrahim Harvey has little doubt that the seriously implicating accusations of Thabo Mbeki against the ANC in a recent letter will serve to deepen the crisis in the party, to the extent that it will probably further weigh against it and subsequently further erode its support in the 2024 elections.
