Putting a minister in charge of the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation will go down in history as one of Cyril Ramaphosa's best decisions ever. At least on paper, writes Sipho Masondo.
As expected, President Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement of a new Cabinet last week lived up to expectations by being boring, underwhelming and downright yawn-worthy.
At best, the president appointed unremarkable politicians like Zizi Kodwa, Sindisiwe Chikunga and Noxolo Kiviet to his Cabinet. At worst, he appointed incompetent politicians like Sihle Zikalala and Kgosientsho 'Sputla' Ramokgopa.
