LETTER TO THE EDITOR | How dare Dangor tells us what anti-Semitism is and isn't

SA Jewish Board of Deputies national director Wendy Kahn writes Zane Dangor's assertion Israeli politicians are deflecting criticism by using the term blood libel against South Africa, is effectively telling Jews what is and isn't anti-Semitism.

It is a sad day in South African diplomacy when a senior government official at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation feels he has the right to tell the Jewish world what is and is not anti-Semitism.

Last week, the department's director-general, Zane Dangor, said Israel is weaponising Jewish suffering and using it to deflect criticism over its conduct in Gaza.
