The UDM's lifelong president, Bantu Holomisa, a veteran elections campaigner, reckons that, this time around, it's the first time the ANC faces a real threat of being dethroned.
Holomisa's comments come in light of political newcomers, the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, and the fact that the ruling party has almost 100 politicians charged with corruption, among a myriad other things.
"One-party dominance... that time is over. It breeds corruption. We don't want to experience another set-up like that," said Holomisa, speaking on News24's Q&A election podcast.
