President Cyril Ramaphosa fortified his office with allies as he announced what has been described as a bloated Presidency made up of four ministers and four deputy ministers.
At the Union Buildings on Monday, he announced Paul Mashatile as his second-in-command.
His staunch ally, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, was moved to the position of Minister in the Presidency, replacing Mondli Gungubele, who took over Ntshavheni's communications and digital technologies portfolio.
