Deputy President Paul Mashatile has gone on the charm offensive to persuade disillusioned DA voters to support the ANC in the upcoming general elections, rooting his approach in divine intervention. 

Mashatile was well received by both Christian and Muslim leaders as he spoke about the need for more engagement with churches, while thanking Muslim leaders for their support of the government's genocide case against Israel.  

On Friday evening, he addressed Christian leaders in Langa and minutes later he was in Athlone where he had Iftar (breaking of the fast during the month of Ramadaan) with the leadership of the Muslim Judicial Council.
