The National Prosecuting Authority in KwaZulu-Natal says it is opposing bail for a 75-year-old alleged drug dealer and his 45-year-old co-accused because it wants to stop "the further proliferation of narcotics in society".
Kenneth Hind, 75, and Mark Herber, 45, were arrested on 12 April after the police found them in possession of drugs worth R1.6 million, guns and bullets at a house in Laughton Drive, Glenashley, Durban North.
The pair has been charged with dealing in drugs as well as the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
