Family confirms 'person of interest' arrested in Mozambique in connection with disappearance of KZN skipper

The family of missing skipper John Matambu, whose real name is John Derksen, has confirmed "a person of interest" has been arrested in Maputo, Mozambique.

There has still been no word on Matambu's whereabouts, however, his family confirmed to News24 that the person last seen with Matambu, was spotted, and arrested in Maputo on Friday.

According to Matambu's niece, Candice Eilertsen, the suspect, whose name is known to News24, was spotted by tourists in Mozambique.
