Gauteng police foiled a planned robbery on a courier vehicle in Sandton on Sunday morning, which led to the arrest of six suspects and the recovery of multiple firearms.
According to the police, information was received about a gang planning to commit a robbery in Johannesburg using two bakkies, one marked as a courier vehicle.
"Members from the Johannesburg Flying Squad spotted the two vehicles matching the description given," police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said.
