The Hawks is investigating a criminal case against the Group CEO of the SA Post Office (SAPO), Nomkhitha Mona, related to the non-payment of employees' statutory benefits, amounting to nearly R1 billion. 

The case was opened at the Pretoria Central police station by representatives of SAPO workers.  

It relates to the embattled entity's failure to pay workers' pension funds, medical aid and tax, despite docking every month from their income for these benefits.
