Police in the Western Cape are investigating an apparent hit that occurred on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened on the corner of Bosmansdam and Omuramba roads, near Montague Gardens in Cape Town.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, confirmed that a case of murder was being investigated.
"The circumstances surrounding a shooting incident Wednesday morning at about 08:00 in Bosmansdam Road, Milnerton - where an adult male was shot and fatally wounded - are under investigation," he said.

"According to [a police] report, a motorcycle stopped next to the victim and the rider fired several shots at him. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack is yet to be established," Twigg added.

According to information secured by News24, one motorcycle pulled up next to a Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicle and the rider fired several gunshots at the car.
The vehicle sped off and drove into oncoming traffic.
News24 understands that the victim was a prominent businessman from Palestine.
