The fears of murdered Anti-Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear's widow have come true, as her protection detail was withdrawn – the day before his alleged murderers go to trial.
Two weeks ago, Nicky Kinnear told News24 she feared her bodyguards might be taken away from her again. Then, on Sunday, the members assigned to protect her were ordered to withdraw only two hours after reporting for duty, she said.
