DA member of Parliament Phumzile Van Damme has urged party supporters to go all out and vote, come Wednesday.

“For all those people, please turn out to vote on election day, especially in Gauteng, especially in the Western Cape. The race its very, very close in Gauteng, we can win if every single person comes out to vote,” said Van Damme.

Van Damme said it had been an exciting campaign where the party engaged with communities and were warmly welcomed into people’s homes, with many pledging to vote for the DA.

“Those still undecided about the DA, I can promise you the DA is a party that stands for one South Africa for all, that stands for creating real jobs and creating a professional police service,” she said.

Sea of blue gather at last push for DA ahead of election day

As political parties gear up for their last push ahead of the May 8 elections, the DA is holding its final rally in Soweto on Saturday. 

Buses carrying hundreds of supporters clad in blue have made their way in the Dobsonville Stadium, Soweto, as the programme is set to begin at 10:30.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane will be making his final speech to South Africans to garner their votes.
