The Knysna municipality has finally cleared a mountain of rotten garbage amid a service delivery crisis unfolding in one of the top holiday destinations along the Garden Route.
It came after the municipal waste transfer station was temporarily out of service for four days.
Municipal manager Ombali Sebola said the waste transfer station was now operational, with mechanical failures on the conveyor belt having been rectified last week.
