Due to major water shortages in the area in recent weeks, staff at Estcourt Hospital in northern KwaZulu-Natal carried buckets of water that they boiled in kettles in the kitchen so that they could give patients a warm bath.
The hospital, a key health facility hub in northern KZN, had no water, with tankers augmented their supply.
Staff said the issue began the weekend after Youth Day and that it was only resolved 10 days later, on 25 June.
